Picture of the week

A beautiful adult specimen of Vipera Berus, caught on film by my brother Andreas at lake Dräcken, Hedemora, Dalarna, Sweden on the 22th of July, -07. Due to the temperate climate, reptiles aren’t that common in Scandinavia – our only indigenous snake species besides V. Berus are the Grass Snake and Smooth Snake, two colubrid species.
